Sighthound Video 4.0.2 (r16844) - February 8, 2017

Sighthound Video 4.0 (r16721) - December 23, 2016

Sighthound Video 4 has been re-architected to significantly enhance performance when recording from H264 sources. In these cases the software uses on average 60% less CPU than version 3.0 even when recording full 30 frames per second frame rates.

For H264 IP cameras:

  • Audio support for cameras that use the AAC codec.
  • Significantly improved CPU performance when recording H264 streams.
  • Reduced disk bandwidth and file storage size for most streams.
  • Video is recorded at full frame rate, no longer limited to 10fps.

  • Accelerated video player.
  • Improved accuracy and efficiency of human detection engine.
  • Expanded camera compatibility through updated ONVIF support.
