Sighthound Will Be at IACP 2026 in Orlando
LONGWOOD, Fla. — October 20, 2026 — Roger Dunnavan, Chief Revenue Officer at Sighthound, will be at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2026 Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando from October 24 to 27. He will spend all four days meeting agency teams one on one. Sighthound does not have a booth.
Two topics are on his list.
The first is preparing footage for release. Body-worn camera and interview files often show people, license plates, IDs, screens, and documents that have nothing to do with the case, and the audio can carry names. Sighthound Redactor detects faces, license plates, IDs, screens, and documents in video and images, and it redacts audio. A person reviews the result before export. Redactor keeps an audit log of redaction activity and can run on premises or fully air-gapped.
The second is checking a plate read before anyone acts on it. Sighthound Retriever, powered by ALPR+, reads the make, model, color, and generation (MMCG) of cars and trucks along with the plate. An investigator can compare the vehicle in the image with the plate record and see whether they agree. A read is a lead to verify. Retriever runs on the agency's own hardware, with no required cloud connection and no default central pool of customer reads.
Both topics line up with the joint principles that IACP and 12 other law enforcement associations published on September 14. They call for written agency policy, controlled access, documented queries, and verification before enforcement.
