Foscam 9821P will not connect.

I just received a new Foscam fi9821p, any idea when Sighthound might support it? I tried setting to 9821W, MPEG both A&B, H264, as well as other stream /Video....etc. No luck connecting.

Paying for Sighthound support does not help.

With default configurations the 9821P should be working with the same settings provided under 9821W. This will construct a url of rtsp://<cameraip>:88/videoMain which should also work for you from any media player such as quicktime or VLC. If that URL isn't working in any other application either something may have changed from the default settings on your camera. One likely target would be the rtsp port of 88 - this is sometimes set to the default rtsp port of 554, which you could try updating in the wizard.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your support comment - the only unanswered support items I can find from you are today's two forum posts. The last email I see is from January 2016, if you've sent something since that date it doesn't seem to have arrived or perhaps was from a different address. All I can say is this camera will not work with Sighthound, where I have 5 other foscams attached. I have tried the rtsp://<cameraip>:88/videoMain and the 9821W settings, no luck.

The camera is being returned. Apparently, the 9821P is much different than any other foscam on my system.

I paid for support for years, bu after 4.0 (i think) the playback in the browser no longer works with the Win7 codec, unless you install some risky 3rd party software. This has been broken for months, and Sighthound seems to have no urge to rectify it. Ref link: topic12629/page20.html?sd=d
