Microseven M7B57-WPS IP Security Cameras

Purchased a set of these a few days ago, and work great with Sighthound.

During add new camera setup wizard in Sighthound:
Camera type:
- - Network (IP) camera
Manufacturer:
- - Other

Setup option:
- - Select “Set up Sighthound Video with a network camera that is already working”

Select camera from the devices…:
- - Select “Manually specify the address of a network camera”

On Settings page:
Camera type:
- - Other IP camera
Protocol:
- - rtsp
IP address:
- - (enter IP of camera)
RTSP port:
- - 554
Stream path:
- - 11 (for primary stream, see stream info below)
User and password:
-If you set the camera’s settings to use RTSP authentication (in camera’s network settings page), then enter the user and password.
-If RTSP authentication was not set on the camera, then you can leave those blank.
Scale video to:
- - (set your preference)
Advanced:
- - Leave Force TCP connection unchecked

Finishing up wizard should connect your Microseven cameras to Sighthound.

Stream info:
These Microseven cameras have 3 video streams available, and each one can be configured for different resolutions/sizes, bit rates, and frame rates. I left mine at default settings. The first through third streams are: 11, 12, and 13. Basically, the default sizes are:
- - Primary (11): 720P 1280x720
- - Secondary (12): half 720P 640x352
- - Tertiary (13): quarter 720P 320x176

I’m using the primary stream myself, as I wanted the resolution. I don’t have any performance issues with 3 of these cams, along with 3 Samsung smart cams being hosted by my Sighthound Video on a Mac Mini (late 2012 model).
