Working: Samsung SmartCam (SNH-P6410BN)

I've done a bunch of testing and can confirm that this camera works with Sighthound.

Below are the steps and particulars I used to setup this camera in Sighthound with great results. And at the bottom are some example and setup screen images.

Setup Steps
Menu function: Tools - Add Camera
Camera type: Network (IP) camera
Manufacturer: Other*
Camera type: Other IP Camera**
Protocol: rtsp
IP Address: use the IP you or DHCP assigned to camera
RTSP Port: leave blank
Stream Path: profile5/media.smp?svforcetcp
Username: admin
Password: use your camera "Private Key", not your Samsung site password
Verify Password: use your camera "Private Key", not your Samsung site password
Scale video to: Your choice - I used "Match Source"

Notes
* I did testing using "Samsung" for the Manufacturer and while it worked, the feed timed out after a few minutes. By using "Other", my feed seems to remain more persistent within Sighthound.

** I did test using "Other Samsung IP Camera" for Camera type and while it worked, I regularly received the "Low Frame Rate" warning.

Thank you for this info. I've been using this setup to run an SNH-P6410BN. As I exepected the outdoor cam SNH-E6440BN also works using these settings.

It took me a couple of hours to see a video feed from the Samsung SNH-E6440BN. However, it's important to use a password with 8 or less characters! You will have no success if your "Private Key" has more than 8 characters.

Take care,
Carsten
