Camera event hysteresis / re-arming delay

by autodestruct » Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:36 pm

Is there a hysteresis in the re-arming of the camera events?

For example, on an outdoor camera, I may get 3 events (and email alerts) in 1 minute. Looking at the events, I would consider them '1' event, it's just that the subject walked out of view shortly (off to the side or possibly behind an obstacle such as a car or tree) and then back in. I'd prefer that the event not re-arm itself for a certain amount of time, say 60 seconds, preferably a value that could be set. So, the new event would be longer, but would capture all 3 of the events listed above.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
-AD

It would be possible to add a feature to limit the frequency of emails sent but it does not exist at this time. Thanks for the feedback.
