How to make VitD work with a D-Link DCS-910

by Tahnka » Sun Mar 13, 2011 7:07 pm

I just setup Vitamin D to work with a D-Link DCS-910 (wired ip camera) and thought I would share a couple of tips.

1) The streaming URL is http://ipaddress/video.cgi
2) VitD will NOT work with your camera unless it has a password. The default username/password for this camera is admin without a password. VitaminD would not pull the image when I was using the default nopassword. After I setup a password on the camera, then VitD could pull an image.

Hi Tahnka,

Thanks for letting us know! I'll be sure to add the DCS-910 to the setup wizard. There does seem to currently be a bug with connecting to cameras without specifying a username/password, but Doug has already checked in a fix for this and it will be resolved in our next update. Sorry for any trouble in the meantime.
