NILOX 16NX2601FI002 compatibility

by michele » Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:09 am

hi everyone,
I recently bought this IP camera but I can't get it to work with vitamin d.
I tried following all instructions (enabling uPnP, trying to figure out a video stream path, etc), but nothing seems to work.
of course the camera runs fine from its own web server.

thank you all in advance for any help

michele

Hi Michele,

In the manual does it list the access method for the motion jpeg stream? If not you might want to contact the manufacturer and ask them for this url, that will enable you to use it with VDV. Some camera manufacturers use the same URLs as others, so there's a small chance going through all of the camera manufacturers in the wizard and selecting "<camera maker> - (other MJPEG)" might work, but the manual or contacting the manufacturer are likely your best bet.

hi ryan,
I found nothing on the manual, but I got an answer from their tech support.
This is what they said:

http://IP_Telecamera/video.cgi per flusso video o snapshot.cgi per screenshots

I tried both the options: video.cgi didn't work for me, but snapshots.cgi did, and it showed the real video stream (not just a snapshot).

I guess we have one more supported camera

Thanks Michelle!

I'm glad you found the information you needed. I've updated the "User confirmed cameras" post and I'll add this to the setup wizard in a future build of VDV.
