ALPR Watch Folder Path - Mac

by tcesario » Sat May 02, 2020 11:24 am

Has anyone using a Mac successfully used the watch folder (stream option)? What did your folder path look like? The example they give is for Windows "c:/evidenceLibrary/dashcams", which won't work on a Mac. So, here my test folder at this path:

/Users/myusername/Desktop/test

I configure ALPR with this path, see that it is "watching" as a status, then drop a file (that has a car in it) into that test folder and nothing happens. I then take that same file and use Upload a File with it and ALPR works fine.

Thanks,
Tony

I'm using Windows and watch folders work just fine, so I can't say anything about Mac's.

That said, there was a new version released within the last few days (.100) so if you have an older one it might be worth trying the new one.

Yes, I grabbed the update which allows for recursive searching in folders...a welcome update. No joy though as it still doesn’t watch the folders correctly. Thanks.
