my sighthound security RV Set up

by CV SECURE » Fri Feb 28, 2020 1:22 am

i read some where they don't recommend placing camera's up high because the detection is not as good.
i have not had a problem using the sunba camera on the RV Roof with this sighthound video software.
the detection is perfect, i have not had any problems.
i think i will get 2 more camera's.
everyone that walks by looks at the BIG Ptz camera on a car motor tripod stand .
i haven't see anyone walk there dog in my grass anymore all so

Kids in my neighborhood will point out my cameras to other kids and they all will turn and wave at it. One kid seems to think I am a talent scout for "America's Got Talent" and will do breakdancing in front of them.

I had to go out and explain to him that the video was being transmitted to the police department and his face would be compared to the criminal database to see if he was wanted for any crimes. Haven't seen him since.

that's funny.
some of these camera's can cost a lot of money, i use a safety traffic mirror to see both ways.
keep my eye on my ptz camera and car at the same time.
i just put it up and have not did a full test yet.

the top post is a sunba ptz i use.
2 things i hate on a ptz camera is sun flare/glare on my videos.
the second thing is water spots on the lens from rain drops.
here is my modify version i made.

i have 2 different camera and at night time one of them uses infrared black and white
and the other
SONY IMX 307 Starlight lens for color
both images where token at 1 AM at Night, i live in a rv park so take note its kind of lighted up here
and not pitch black out here, i all so had to hand focus the snap shot.

im not sure how well this help because i did Not fully test it.
any thing at night seams to be more clear by adding a little Light
on the image below i bought a $1 solar light and added it to the Top of the ptz camera
