I found a fix that doesn't require a re-install that may help some of you with this issue:

Delete the file "Gui Prefs {username}.pkl"
From: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Sighthound Video
For Mac OS users maybe this file exists in the Library folder.

The program was able to come up after deleting this file, for me anyway.
